Comparison Review

Comfort
Passengers in the extended cab may find themselves a little more squished in the Ford F-350 than the RAM 1500. The Ford F-350 will be a favorite with tall drivers and their passengers, since it has much greater head- and legroom than the RAM 1500.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). When looking only at MSRP, the Ford F-350 will have less of an impact on your bank account than the RAM 1500.

Dimensions
Since the Ford F-350 is much slimmer than the RAM 1500, it'll be much easier to find a wide enough space in a crowded parking lot. If you go with the Ford F-350, you may be circling the block looking for a space large enough to park more often than with the RAM 1500.

Handling
The Ford F-350 has a significantly larger turning radius than the RAM 1500, making it much more difficult to maneuver in and out of tight spots.

Performance
When considering towing capacity, the Ford F-350 is clearly the choice over the RAM 1500 for pulling heavy loads. The Ford F-350 has a little less horsepower than the RAM 1500.

Powertrain
With its lower torque engine, the Ford F-350 doesn't do as good a job transmitting horsepower to its wheels as the RAM 1500.

Utility
In terms of seating, you'll be able to fit the same number of people in the Ford F-350 as you will the RAM 1500. You'll be able to haul more material in the Ford F-350 than the RAM 1500, due to its significantly greater cargo capacity.
